Sapling Identification

In vegetation management, trees are often the focus. The tree species chosen for this book were meant to represent the most common species found on power line corridors in New York State. Seedlings and saplings that grow taller than 20' are periodically removed from rights-of-way, while maintaining the remainder of the early succession plants to occupy the site. It is this management interest in young trees - those seedlings and saplings that need to be identified for promotion or control - that provides the focus of this guide book. ESF Forest Resources Management professor, Christopher Nowak, is the author of this signed edition. 80 spiral bound, coated pages with colorful and descriptive photos.
